Jawara child

In her eye I see the beginning and the end of Time. I see the infinite depths of the Universe. I see Light and Life, death and darkness, us and them, here and nowhere. I see laughter and sweetness and stillness. Stillness. That is why my eyes cannot leave hers. Time has fizzled into silence, the silence that fills her eyes. Her face is perfection, her eyes the cradles of all creation. Jarawa child.
Skin dark as the midnight sky, smooth as obsidian oil, smile pulls a small mouth open to reveal small, round, white teeth. A small button nose perfectly aligned in her round face between round shiny cheeks.
